Last year, I visited Tajimi tile museum in Tajimi, Gifu prefecture by the architect Terunobu Fujimori.
There, I discovered a large variety of small mosaic tiles domestically produced during Showa era (1926-1989) used in old-fashion bathroom for sinks and bathtubs. Like candies, I was immediately seduced by the multitude of shapes and colors that existed.
A few weeks ago, I found on a market, a large bag full of these small tiles and bought it. Back to my office, I started to play around to create new possibilities of contemporary patterns and colors for modern interiors.
昨年、建築家・藤森照信氏による岐阜県多治見市の多治見タイル美術館を訪れました。
そこで私は、昭和時代（1926年から1989年）に国産され、昔ながらの浴室の洗面台や浴槽に使用されていた多種多様な小さなモザイクタイルを発見しました。 キャンディーのように、私は存在するさまざまな形や色にすぐに魅了されました。
数週間前、私は市場でこれらの小さなタイルがいっぱい入った大きな袋を見つけて購入しました。 オフィスに戻って、私はモダンなインテリアのための現代的なパターンと色の新しい可能性を生み出すために遊び始めました。
